Anil Kumar Ph.D., is a Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Medchem Source LLP. Dr.Kumar has invented over 24 US patents, authored numerous publications in peer reviewed journals and presented at numerous scientific meetings. Prior to founding MedChem, Dr Kumar was a Senior Scientist at Cell Therapeutics Inc., for 13 years. At Cell Therapuetics, Dr.Kumar led various aspects of drug discovery research from early development to preclinical stage on three clinical drug candidates. Dr Kumar has a PhD in Organic Chemistry from National Chemical Laboratory, University of Pune, Inida and was a post-doctoral fellow at Drexel University, Philadelphia. His research interests are medicinal chemistry, natural product synthesis, stereo specific synthesis and heterocyclic chemistry.

Rama Bhatt, Ph.D., is a Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Medchem Source LLP. Dr. Bhatt has authored over 37 publications in peer reviewed journals invented 4 US patents and presented at numerous scientific meetings. Prior to founding Medchem, Dr. Bhatt was a Senior Scientist at Cell Therapeutics Inc. where he established a proven track record of drug discovery which culminated in two clinical candidates, and three early stage developmental drug candidates. He has a Ph.D in Organic Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and was a post doctotal fellow at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX . He has over 16 years of experience in biopharmaceutical industries and academic research. Dr. Bhatt’s research interests are medicinal chemistry, natural product synthesis and isolation, organometallic chemistry, stereo specific synthesis, heterocyclic chemistry and eicosanoids.
